Morrie does excellent repair work and gets instruments sent to him from
afar frequently. Chris Millard (Principal Bassoon of the VSO) is
repairing and restoring bassoons in the same shop (he's on sabbatical
this year). Another top notch repairman in Vancouver well worth
trusting your horns to is Bob MacDonald. Bob, Morrie and Chris are all
woodwind players and each is extremely knowledgeable and highly creative
in devising solutions to your problems. Between Bob, Morrie and Chris,
the professional and (and non professional) winds in Vancouver are well
covered! Bob's address is: 4741 Hastings Street, Burnaby, B.C. His
phone number is (604) 294-1175. Hope this help. And BTW, Morrie's new
design barrels are flying off the shelf to places far flung from
Vancouver. If anyone's interested, ask Morrie (a list member) to tell
you more - you'll be surprised to hear who's using or trying them out.
Not wanting to invade anyone's privacy, I won't say.

Cheers all,

Audrey
