Several weeks ago I asked for assistance in finding out how to get a new
case for my basset horn. Lots of helpful ideas came through and I
finally settled on an Altieri gig bag which I got just yesterday.

It is actually a gig bag for a low E-flat bass clarinet but it works
fine.

I do notice that, while every effort is made to prevent a carried
instrument from being damaged, it still appears to me that such a bag
could still allow a dent or two if the carrier is not careful.

Has anyone had experience with the protection characteristics of such a
gig bag?
