I think there is merit in trying a lot of different brands if you are going
to use commercial reeds. If I had the wherewithal - a Reed Du-all, and a
safe place where I KNEW my kids wouldn't get in - and a LOT More time - I'd
make my own. However, that is not going to happen any time in my future
that I can foresee. SO....

Since there are a lot of new brands on the market since I last embarked upon
brand testing, I feel there is certainly reason to experiment and find which
brand has the cut which is right for you. None of us are the same - and
even with the same mouthpiece and ligature - you may take a different reed
than someone else. You just do not know until you try them out.
