I've recently purchased one of Greg's mouthpieces and although he
recommended the V-12's, I was ticked off that so many were virtually
unusable in a box. Like Greg, I use a simple Bonade inverted ligature and
tried out and purchased Gonzalez reeds which are made from top quality
cane, are remarkably consistent and last a good length of time. I
purchased 3 boxes of #3 1/4's at Clarinetfest, am still using the first box
and found every single one of them playable right out of the box.
