I recently received a CD by the Austrian jazz clarinetist Fatty George
entitled "Fatty's Saloon" (Preiser Records 93190). His name is new to me,
but he is (was?) quite a player. Active with is band in Vienna during the
'50s and '60s, his style is strictly Chicago Dixieland, showing tremendous
technique. The CD doesn't say much about him, but it has a picture of Fatty
(he is!) playing a Boehm clarinet.

Does anyone know more about him? A web search didn't turn up much.
