To hear some well-played, though slightly more modern, classical music on
soprano sax, try the Branford Marsalis CD "Romances for Saxophone" (CBS
(Sony?) Masterworks MK 42122). The album contains mostly Debussy, Ravel,
Faure, etc., and demonstrates how nice a soprano sax CAN sound.
