I definately agree! (Although, I'm a bit biased as I played suling in
Michael Tenzer's gamelan last year) ;)

I just picked up American Works for Gamelan Orchestra last week. This
is also an amazing CD, but I'm still looking for something even
closer to a concerto for clarinet and gamelan. Maybe it's yet to be
composed, but playing suling had me thinking.

BTW, even though Mr. Ziporyn dubbed the Three Island Duos, it's not
terribly difficult to play them as a duet, and they're a lot of fun!
