OK,
Pardon me for sounding like an "ignorant" high school student, but last
I checked I got a better tone by....practicing my tone!!!! You have to have
a good setup that works for you, but please, stop fussing about what brand
reed your using and get in the darn practice room! This reminds me of a
ligature add I saw that advertised a "short, crisp staccato..." right...so
THAT'S what I've been doing wrong all this time... I can put a rubber band
on my horn and get a crisp staccato. OK, sorry for sarcasm, but the last few
posts seemed a tad ridiculous.
