Hello. I need another kind of reed. Right now I play on Mitchell Luries
(4.5). I tried Vandoren, but they were too unreliable and you had to put too
much effort into it to get a better sound. Mitchell Luries were nice becuase
even on a 4.5, you don't have to try to hard for a good tone, so you can
focus on other things like the notes on the page. and then there is Rico. I
only played on them for the first year of my clarinet life. And most
importantly (for me) I need a reed that will offer enough control on the high

notes, like high D (3rd octave). The Mitchell Luries don't really offer that.

What other good reed companies are out there? Maybe if I tried a ML 5 I would

be happy...
Derek
