Daniel,
I'm a first time Eb player and found the same pitch
results on a stock Yamaha, 5RV and a Johnston
mouthpiece, probably because I am a "beginner".There
were difference in tone quality.Getting a mouthpiece
similar to your Bb set-up makes
the most sense to me, but unless your a
serious/seasoned professional, take time in that
regard too.
