Bill,

I fully agree here with the mouthpiece assessment. I
was just thinking of the Vandoren mouthpiece trials to
narrow down the instruments without the possibility of
a bad instrument/mouthpiece combination keeping a good
instrument from being chosen. The mouthpiece setup
already being used may be a good place to start, but
they may also be using a stock bundy, leblanc, or
buffet mouthpiece with a bent ligature.

I altogether forgot to mention to have the setup
currently used as the *fourth* mouthpiece to try out
instruments on...thanks for pointing it out!
