Shouldn't you bring this to a professional repair person who should be
covered if 'the wheels come off?'
If you want to be 'brave/foolhardy' try 'rocking' the barrel.
I know this sounds drastic, but I was told this by one of our top repair men.
Usually only the bottom part of the tenon joint is making a 'wood to wood'
connection and the space in the upper one will allow the barrel to 'rock' and
free itself.
