I know what you mean about the temperament. My previous clarinet would play
well one day and then I'd nearly wear myself out playing it the next day.
The clarinet that I have now is a Buffet R-13 Festival, and I haven't
experienced any of the temperament with this instrument. Anytime I've had
weird responses, it has simply been a reed issue. My vote is for Buffet
R-13's....but once again, as someone else stated, you should get the
instrument that is right for YOU. Get one that plays well and sounds great
for you. Narrow down your choices by playing many brands and then have
someone listen to you to see which sounds the best.
