Buffet R13: I have had mine since 1970, #108321, and just started to
practice on it again in January, 2002, having the keys re-pad and re-corked
in 1993. I took it into a woodwind shop in Gaithersburg, MD in January, to
have the tenons re-corked and they are impressed how great it looks and
sounds after being not used for 29 years. Of course, it was $295 in 1970.
Still have the handwritten receipt and no credit cards, per say, in 1970! I
think the average yearly income in 1970 was $12,000. Still have the box it
came in, also. I just wish as a kid, I took the time to wipe the keys off
after playing, like I am told to do today.
It is a wonderful clarinet, still today.
