I'm surprised that no one has yet mentioned Himie Voxman's volume for
Rubank. Not historically informed or accurate, perhaps, but still useful
to clarinet students. the greatest advantage of all is the price!
I also have in my possession "Bach for the Clarinet" transcribed and
edited by Ronald Caravan, published by Ethos Publications. In addition to
the cello suites (not all complete) there are movements from the Violin
Partitas and Sonatas, and the complete Partita in A Minor for flute.
There's no address for the publisher, but Dr. Caravan is at Syracuse
University.
Just a side question - does anyone know why both Mr. Voxman and Mr.
Caravan would choose to ignore the Cello Suite No. 5 (BWV 1011)?
