I'm sorry I didn't get to see you.

I found this concert interesting in two additional quite personal ways, both
probably due to atmospheric changes: first, that the barrel of my Bb
clarinet split in the interval, necessitating emergency repairs; and
secondly that the bottom half of my A basset-clarinet fell off unexpectedly
during the encore, smashing the bell-ring and rendering my subsequent
contribution, well, *incomplete*:-)

My wife had reported to me that you were coming to the concert. Was it you
who was shouting from the seats behind the orchestra at the end?

I did look as we went out, but there were several possible exits from the
hall, and I was a bit overcome by the 'double whammy' instrumental failure.
That I'd had very little to play made it worse, if anything. So if the
shameful truth be told, I was mostly thinking about my upcoming beer -- or
possibly about my two or more upcoming beers....
