Horovitz's Sonatina (dur. 12-15 mins) is more
sophisticated than Templeton. Published by Novello 1982.
The finale alone can serve as an encore and a dazzling showpiece.
Among my Russian editions (1972) there's Rhapsody in Blue
for trumpet (truba?) in B flat and piano. The clarinet part is all there!
but the clarinet has not learned to play con sordino or 'wa-wa' yet.

Templeton No 1 is no longer out of print
June Emerson has republished it under licence from Leeds
Emerson Edition 302
