We are now beginning to select music for our summer chamber series here at
the university. This year I want to do something a bit different from the
standard fare. I'm looking for something for clarinet and piano that is
lighter, perhaps with some jazz influence, something that is more
entertaining and fun as opposed to weighty and serious. Timing: in the
range of 10-15 minutes in length would be ideal, but timing is not as
important an issue as the overall character I have described above. Any
suggestions?
