Does anybody remember the "Scientific" brand of reeds ? Made under the
patent of a certain Pichard, these reeds had a small triangular wedge cut
right through the reed at the point where the bevelling begins. The hole so
formed was filled with a resin or cork-like substance. Apparently these
reeds were still on sale in the early '60s. I would be most interested in
any memories, comments, explanations or whatever.
