If yopur clarinet is over a decade old, and it hasn't cracked, it is unlikely to do so.

Perhaps your could get it to crack if you play it for an hour heavily, then open a window with under 30 degree temps.

Just get it out and play it moderately, maybe 15 minutes. Then 20 the next, etc.

To humidify, the best thing I know is to put orange (or my favorite - tangerine peel) in the case. As the peel looses moisture, the wood will absorb.

Might want to do that overnight before playing it.

Anyway, the oranges are good for you!
