I am not going to repeat the question to save space. My guess is that this
would be repairable and probably by quite a few people. My son's R-13 had
been sat upon and had the upper socket in the lower joint broken out. I had
a discussion about it with Stephen Fox at ClarinetFest and he told me that
repairing this kind of damage was something that is frequently done.

I sent this instrument to Eric Satterlee in Michigan who made what is
virtually an invisible repair.
