I would just go with getting an entire new case without bothering to try to
deodorize the old one. When I bought my used Vito, I was given the advice to
replace the case. It wasn't musty-smelling, but I was told that old cases
that have been stored for awhile could have mites, and the mites could also
get into the instrument's pads. So I bought a new case and had the
instrument repadded (I was going to have the repadding done anyway). It
almost gave me the feeling of having a new instrument, carrying around that
shiny new case! Even if there weren't any mites, it was worth it.
