What about getting a (cube) box made with 5 sides (no
bottom side necessary) and a cutout slightly larger
than the width of the crook on the bell and about 2"
in length, lined with padding or fake fur. You can put
rubber feet on the four corners of the box to hold the
box steady, and can put the bell crook in the opening
to hold it steady in the box. Since the box would have
no bottom, the box could be augmented by longer rubber
feet or shortened by cutting the bottom edge of the
wood to fit your size needs.

Our bass clarinet players in college had the guy in
the theater shop make the boxes for them. I would
assume the actual box wouldn't be difficult for most
wood workers on the list.
