After further search, I did find a recording of the Bruch Op. 88, in it's
original form. It's in a
nice 2-CD collection of clarinet rarities by Thea King called "The Clarinet
in Concert". The web site is:

Also on this set are pieces by Mendelssohn, Crussell, Spohr, Julius Rietz,
