Klarinet Archive - Posting 000265.txt from 2002/02

I have searched the sneezy archive and find no information of any detail
about Goldbeck clarinet mouthpieces. I just acquired two in excellent
condition, and am wondering what I have. I am familiar with the
Goldbeck/Kaspar connection, because my college clarinet instructor studied
with Stubbins in the early sixties and worked in Mr. Kaspar's shop for a
time. I have some Ann Arbors and a Cicero Kaspar as well, and these
Goldbecks look like and play as good (actually even better in some respects)
as the Kaspars.
So...can someone give me a little background, or at least point me to a
source of information?
