Grace Note or The Art of Playing a Grace Note.

A refined performance technique whereby the player accidentally plays an
wrong note (past historical referrences call this note an 'accented
passing tone') and gracefully and tastefully moves immediately to the
correct note, hence, the term 'Grace'. When executing such a maneuver
one must do so in a manner that leaves the audience in awe of your
ability to perform a linear line containing non-chord tones and give
them the effect of melding perfectly with the vertical chordal
structure of the moment. Bach was one of the earlier masters of such
technique.
