The New Music Cultivation Fund is calling for applications for its grant=20
programs.=20

The Premiere/Residency Assistance Grant Program supports a composer residenc=
y=20
during the premiere of a composition. The application deadline is March 1,=20
2002.=20

The Commission Assistance Grant Program supports the commissioning of a new=20
composition and a composer residency. Three application deadline cycles are=20
in effect for this grant:=20

Large instrumental organizations - March 15, 2002
Instrumental Solo or Chamber Musicians =E2=80=93 July 12, 2002
Vocal/Choral Musicians =E2=80=93 November 15, 2002

The purposes of both grants are to encourage performers at all levels of=20
development (elementary performing ensemble through professional) to=20
experience the value of working closely with a composer, to cultivate=20
audiences for new music, to encourage composer/performer interaction, to=20
encourage composer/audience interaction, and to foster the growth of new=20
music. The grant covers all the costs of the project.=20
