Subj: [kl] Stiff Fingers and Carpel Tunnel Symdrome
Date: Sun, 10 Feb 2002 17:49:32 -0500

I recently had minor surgery for a "Trigger Finger" condition on my
right-hand middle finger. It would lock up at the darndest times. The
procedure was very simple: a short needle with a serrated edge, used to cut
the sheath over the tendon. My recovery was quick and complete.

Mid-May I'm having carpel tunnel syndrome surgery on the right hand. My
surgeon, a well respected specialist in hand surgery, assures me that he has
done hundreds of this operation on musician's hands, with no problems. My
left hand will be done at a later date. I'm a little worried, naturally.
Any advice from those who've had the surgery?
