Have you tried a sinus decongestant,
I' ve a very bad cold this week and am performing on it,
Steam, Contact C...... trying everything
The gig must go on.

Most of my playing is background jazz
in a noisy enviroment, or pit work..
I probably can get away with more.
I wonder how serious orchestral players
manage the really difficult material when
they are sick. Must be extra tough.
