Heidi--
Program notes are usually short and consise background information. I
suggest that you look up the information in Grove's, or review liner notes
from various CDs or LPs. "Interesting" information is subjective--what is
interesting to one person may not be so interesting to another.

Subject: [kl] Program Notes
I am playing the following clarinet pieces on a
college recital. Does anyone know any interesting
information about any of the following pieces that I
could put into the program notes for the program?
Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by Francis Poulenc
Sonata for Clarinet and Piano by Camille Saint-Saens
Solo de Concours by A. Messsager
First Concerto in f minor by Weber
