Nancy, this is all very exciting for me. I feel like the moose who is
visiting Colorado Springs. Recently a moose wandered down to Monument
Valley Park, a very nice public park in Colorado Springs, where people
like to jog and ride bikes. He eats the foliage and trims the shrubs for
free. He has become a celebrity over night. He has been on the news
several times, and I have seen his picture in the paper. The Department
of Wildlife has decided to let him stay, and so far he hasn't "charged"
at anybody. Mooses will "charge" like a bull, if you get too close. He
is a very young moose, and he may have come down here from the mountains
to get away from the hunters during hunting season. The wildlife folks
say that he will go home eventually. ANNIE
