During the previous topic, the Etymotic family of earplugs were
discussed but nobody seems to have posted their website, so I'll go
ahead:

http://www.etymotic.com/

I've been a user of the ER-15 and ER-25 custom plugs for several
years, both in my business environment (theme park attraction
development where the sound level in the attractions can get very
high) and in my personal life (for concerts and the occasional
cacophonous film.) They've expanded their non-custom line and you can
get a wide range of colors and choice of string-connected or classic
individual earplugs. There is no comparison between these plugs and
the foam plugs, if you want to hear what's being played - just less
of it, the Etymotics are the way to go.

The non-custom plugs can now be ordered from the website (for
considerably less than what many music stores carry them. I've
started giving them as inexpensive gifts to friend and family who
enjoy concerts.

Disclosure: I'm not an employee, just a satisfied user.

Best to all on the list.
