Dear Sandee,
I usually get a visit from "Arthur" in my hands as soon as it turns
cold each winter. Fortunately Arthur usually visits me right when I am
in the mood to make a quilt, and I have to bend my right hand fingers
closed with my left hand. If I have a binding that needs to be hand
stitched onto a finished quilt, I bend my fingers closed and start to
work on the binding, which is usually at least 240" of hand stitching to
go all the way around a baby or throw quilt. By the time I am finished
with the binding, I have forgotten about the pains, and Arthur seems to
have disappeared. Last year I had it in my hips and knees, but since we
moved into our new house and I have to go up and down a lot of stairs
several times a day, Arthur gave up and left me alone. No "Kneemonia"
this year. I had it in my left shoulder for a while, but it's gone now.
ANNIE
