Subj: [kl] About My Recital
Date: Fri, 18 Jan 2002 16:44:59 -0500

In case anyone was reading and interested (you know...may be around the area
and can stop in and see my recital), my recital rep has changed slightly.
Following is the current program for the recital on April 19th in Goodson
Recital Hall on the Shenandoah U campus:

Tartini - Concertino
Stanford - Sonata

Intermission

Stravinsky - The Soldier's Tale (Vln, Cl, Pno)
Montbrun - Concertstuck

This will be the first of three DMA recitals.

I would love to hear any anecdotes, ideas, input, complaints or anything
dealing with these pieces. Are you familiar with them all? Do you have
recordings, and of who? Have you played them personally? I look forward to
your responses.

Robert

P.S. The reason for the change was "opportunity". Heather Austin is a
violinist with the Maryland and Roanoke (VA) symphonies and my
ex-girlfriend. Well some 8 years later we are close to each other again
(proximity, mostly) and I don't know when I will have someone to play the
Stravinsky again. She is very talented and I have worked..ahem...with her
before. ;-) She was excited to play the Stravinsky as well since we both
had worked on parts of the Khachaturian Trio in our undergrad together.
