You are several months out of date. The symphony suspended its season
some time ago and they hope to resume what will be left of the season
sometime in March or April. There have been no performances since
before the Christmas season.

As for your comments about the Silicon Valley billionaires, it is a sad
mistake of all musicians to presume that wealthy people are sitting
around waiting to support the arts. Business is lousy here as it is
lousy over all of America. Silicon Valley is especially hard hit
because it has so many dot.com companies that went under or are in trouble.

But the SJ Symphony's problems have been a long time in coming. It
represents years and years of incompetent management, a disinterested
board of directors, and 10 years of continually downspiraling
performance quality. It was a first class orchestra until it began to
go downhill.
