Thank you to everyone who chimed in about "trigger" thumbs (fingers).
Between your posts and the doctor's reassurances on Wednesday morning, I'm
feeling much better about the prospect of surgery if it becomes necessary.
But we'll see what effect this second steroid injection has. Fortunately, if
surgery is needed, I can pick a time when I can take a couple of weeks off -
there's no emergency involved. Might be a nice break during the summer - I
haven't been totally away from the clarinet for more than a few days since I
had my tonsils taken out 30 years ago.
