Ahoy Listmates --

I thought that I would pass along some good news to you and your students.
In their recently-arrived sale catalog, the Woodwind & Brasswind is listing
the Yamaha YCL72ACS at $1,499!

This is a great price for a *great* clarinet. They must have bought an
extra pallet or two to be unloading them at this price. I bought mine 2
years ago for $1,750, which was the best price my local dealer (and good
friend) could give me.

This is last year's model -- not the new CSV -- but it's a dandy clarinet
nonetheless. I like it better than any of the Buffets, Selmers, Leblancs
et. al. that I tried last summer at ClarinetFest. YMMV, of course. At this
price, though, it's sure worth a look.
