FWIW, I was under the impression that there are two different chemical
compositions for plastic wrap: Saran (licensed by Dow Chemical) is a variety
of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) while most other plastic wraps are
polyethylene. I don't know how it affects the safety or flavor - I use
cigarette paper as a modest lip protector.

"Saran Wrap" is a specific brand of plastic wrap and thus should be
capitalized to indicate that. However, like many other names, it often gets
applied in a generic sense.
