Try leaving the right hand on the C key when you add your left hand to the
C-sharp key, whenever possible. (A good practice regardless of whatever
mechanical problems you might have).

Without seeing you or your clarinet, it is impossible to see what's causing
the glitch. It's easy for those keys to be misaligned. However, mechanics
aside, a common problem is if your left hand shifts position when you move
your pinky to that C-sharp key. This causes your *other* left fingers,
usually the weak ring finger, to shift slightly and cause a leak. So after
you get your horn checked out, watch that left hand in a mirror and make sure
that only the pinky is moving when you go from C to C-sharp.

But this glitch is occurring as a hole is being *opened*. (It couldn't be

fault.) If anyone could clue me in to mechanical problems that might be
occurring,
I would appreciate it. >>
