Last evening I reviewed a concert of the San Francisco Chamber orchestra
and the program contained a bunch of statements written by children in
music classes. Two were noteworthy for clarinetists and bassoonists.
"A bassoon looks like nothing I have ever heard."
"Reeds are little pieces of wood. They are found mostly in plants and
clarinets."
One student, when asked who wrote the Hallelujah Chorus responded,
"George Fredric Doorknob."
