Wouldn't it be a bassone then? :-P There actually is
a recording out there by a bassoon choir group that
uses the trombone powered with a bassoon reed. If you
want I can give you recording information.....but to
warn you, in performance it sounds more like an
elephant during mating season, or an oboe.
