Tom, I do agree with your response regarding performance from memory. I
would like to add that when I practice properly, each measure or short
phrase repitively, to the point where I can play the passage perfectly,
I find that the compsition ends up being memorized. I love practicing
memorized music. It's easier to "fine-tune" your passages once they're
memorized. I am not famous, so I bring the music to the performances
just in case. ANNIE
