Following my posts on loose rings and this list's advice to use orange peel,
I put a few bits of tangerine peel in my clarinet case. The next day
(twelve hours later) the rings were significantly firmer. Today (36 hours)
they are tight. Thank you all !!!

IIt is really unbelievable that those bits of peel contain enough moisture
to penetrate that hard, poreless wood and make it expand in so short a
time...
