Hi Robert,

The B45 Lyre mouthpiece has a larger tip opening and slightly wider tip
rail than the standard B45. The facing length is the same.

B46 has a very slightly reduced opening compared with the B45 and a
shorter facing length.

If you would like more information please feel free to get back in
touch.

Regards

Alastair

Subject: [kl] Vandoren B5 Lyre

Hi all in the list,

I would like to know the main differences between the
Vandoren Lyre Mouthpiece and the Vandorens 45 and 46.
I am a concert clarinet player and have been using the
46 because of the "darker" sound.

Thanks in advance, and take the opportunity to wish
you all a very peaceful and joyfull new year 2002.

Robert
