Mr. Hanson,
Thanks you for your very kind and informative reply --- you did indeed answer
my question thoroughly, and I apologize if my question seemed to imply that your
clarinets were anything except what they are. I'm just suspicious (perhaps
'curious' would be a better word) nowadays; for example, my personal "Kohlert"
soprano saxophone (which plays exceptionally well despite being made of mediocre
materials with questionable workmanship) is made in China and has nothing to do
with the original proud old Kohlert company; and I just bought a superb
"Buescher BU-6" baritone sax which, while distributed by Selmer USA, is made in
Taiwan (and thus costs less than half of comparable Yamaha, Yanagisawa, and
Keilwerth saxes). And many small (and large!) American musical instrument
retailers have recently come out with their own 'house brands', the vast
majority of which are Asian-made, for better or worse. Thus my suspicions!

I'm sure I speak for others in the clarinet community also when I say that it is
exciting to have a new manufacturer of fine instruments with new designs --- as
a long-time bass clarinetist (and now a part-time repairman), I can tell you
that the vast majority of bass clarinets in existence, newer as well as older
designs, have numerous flaws and are crying out for improvement. I'm personally
looking forward to the opportunity, hopefully in the near future, of trying out
some of your products! Best of luck to you and your firm.

Regards,
David Spiegelthal
