I picked up a great old music magazine today in a local used bookstore. It
is called "Best Songs" and it is dated July 1945. In the "Great News"
section (nestled amongst ads like "Skinny Women - Gain Weight!" and "He
will love you with longer, wavy hair!") is a little tidbit which reads:

WOODY HERMAN - is the proud inventor of the "piccenet" a Burbank which
combines the piccolo and the clarinet for something new in the music
instrument world.

I've searched for the piccenet online and in the archives, but no
luck. Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks,

Nichelle Crocker
