Preach it! Look, getting all the best reeds, ligatures, mouthpieces,
barrels, horns, is NOT going to make you any better. Practicing makes you
better. And practice intelligently, listen to yourself...I see so very many
people who suck simply because they don't use their ears. Best of luck to
you! Trust me, when Esther Lamneck (my teacher), blows on a crappy plastic
student horn, she still sounds about a million times better than I do on my
R-13.
