I guess I left out some of the information. I live in a small town, and our
music store doesn't carry the high quality intruments, they have to order
them from who knows where. My mom doesn't know anything about clarinets, so
I tried to help by giving her URLs of online stores where she could get an
R-13 for about $1,500, but she's never been a big fan of the internet. A
friend of ours works at the music store, so she went to him for help. He
gave her a list of clarinets and this is how she explained to me the mixed
up: She showed me the list and the one she had highlighted was in fact the
E-12 but it said, "R-13 bore," which must have made her think that that was
what she was ordering. I don't know if she bought the E-12 at the retail
value (she wouldn't tell me how much it cost), but if that were the case,
then I might as well get the R-13 since the prices are the exact same. I'll
talk to her about it today. Maybe she'll let me pay for some of it out of my
savings account, like suggested. But my dad's another story. I'll have to do
a LOT of convincing to make him see my side of the story. Thanks again for
your help everyone.
