Bear,

Does anybody know of sonatas, concertos, or cham-
ber works featuring the Clarinet, that were written in the
last 20 to 50 years? I'm not having much luck. (*pout!*
Ah nayvir git tew dew NUTH-thin funn!)

Just to let you know about a fellow bear's works: Mine:

Sonata for Eb Clarinet and Piano,
Quintet for Clarinet and String Quartet,
Duet for Clarinet and Bassoon,
Quartet for four Bb Clarinets
Mineature Trio for any combination of instruments

You can hear all of these at www.mp3.com/metopera/

And, some recently composed favorites of mine off the top of my head:
Anything by Eric Mandat - he has multiple works for Solo Clarinet and Bass
Clarinet
Gary Schocker: Sonata 1 and 2 for Clarinet and Piano, and Sonata for two
Clarinets and Piano
Peter Schickele: Elegies for Clarinet and Piano, and Monochrome III for 9
Bb Clarinets (possibly my favorite piece of chamber music with clarinet)
Gyorgy Ligeti: 10 Pieces for Woodwind Quintet (sorry can't spell Georgy)
William Bolcom: Concerto for Clarinet and Piano
John Adams: Gnarly Buttons for Clarinet and Chamber ensemble
Dan Welcher: Quintet for Clarinet and Strings, Dante Dances for Clarinet
and Piano
Robert Muczynski (sp?): Trio for Clarinet, 'Cello and Piano, Time Pieces
for Clarinet and Piano

Anyone else have recent compositions they reccomend?

May you all have much peace, love, and joy this holiday season and
throughout the new year
