I recently tried a Spriggs bass ligature, courtesy of Bob Arney.

I found that it was excellent, both in allowing, shall we say PROMOTING, clear tone production in all registers.

It is clearly superior to the (bass) Rovner which I had been using, so superior that Bob practically had to PRY it from my hands.

I expect there to be a present under my Christmas tree -I told my wife where to order one for me.

Roger Garrett recommends the Bay (Hi Roger! Olive branch extended). I do use a Bay ligature on my Bb/A. It is one one my favorite ligatures.

I have not tried the Spriggs Bb/A ligatures are they as good????????

Happy Holidays to all...
